Nowadays, in our daily life, we meet quite a few people with speech impairments. Most of these people were unable to correct the burr in childhood, as their parents believed that such speech deficiencies would go away over time. Most people have not passed, and they still mispronounce some letters, such as the letter "p".
The incorrect pronunciation of "r" looks pretty cute in young children, but this feature does not adorn an adult at all. There are two reasons for not pronouncing this sound: improper articulation and structural features of the speech therapy apparatus, for example, a short frenum of the tongue, too large or, on the contrary, too small uvula, etc.
If the reason for not pronouncing "p" is the wrong pronunciation technique, then it is quite possible to learn how to pronounce sounds correctly, and on your own. An adult will need several weeks to do this, during which it is necessary to do the following exercises several times (three to five) a few minutes every day.
For the sublingual ligament
- try to reach the nose with the tip of the tongue;
- press the tip of the tongue (as close to the teeth as possible) to the palate quite strongly, then try to hold it across the sky as far as possible to the throat;
- open your mouth, stick out your tongue, then try to bend the tip of your tongue upward as much as possible.
For the tip of the tongue
- lightly bite the tip of the tongue (to feel a slight pain);
- stick out your tongue and press it to the upper lip, exhale the air so as to create a vibration of the tongue;
- open your mouth as wide as possible and pronounce the sounds "d" and "t".
After mastering these exercises (but not earlier than after a week of daily practice), you can begin to pronounce the correct sound.
At the beginning of the lessons, the pronunciation of the sound "r" is made by using the sounds "t" and "d", trying to make the language vibrate during their pronunciation. So, you need to press the tip of the tongue to the palate and in this position try to exhale the air.
After the vibration of the tongue starts to get quite easy, you need to try to pronounce the following combinations: "drrr", "trrr" …
Further complicate the task and connect other sounds: "trrro", "trrru", "trrre" …
After mastering the above, you can begin to pronounce light words with the sound "p" in the first syllable, for example, "work", "tract", etc.
The final stage of training is the saying of special tongue twisters.
It is worth remembering that at first the sound "p" will sound bad, but after a short time, especially if you do not skip classes, this sound will take on normal sound.
