Sergei Kuznetsov, who at that time was a musical director in an orphanage, decided to create a group "Tender May" from the most talented pupils. The soloist of the collective was Yuri Shatunov. The members of the group performed songs written by Kuznetsov, performed at discos, and their popularity grew rapidly. When producer Andrei Razin heard several songs of "Tender May", he decided to work with them and make real stars out of the guys. The boys were transferred to one of the Moscow orphanages and after a while they were able to become the most popular group in the Soviet Union.
"Tender May" broke up after a few years. Yuri Shatunov went to Germany to study as a sound engineer. After graduation, he resumed his musical career, began recording new songs, shooting videos.

In 2013, Svetlana became a mother for the second time, giving her husband a daughter, Estella. The name of the baby in translation means "star" and was chosen by Yuri Shatunov. The legendary soloist of "Tender May" was present at the birth of his wife both times and does not regret such an experience. The godfather of the daughter and son of Shatunov is his longtime colleague, producer Andrei Razin.
Happy family life
Yuri Shatunov and his family permanently live in Germany in the small town of Bad Homburg. Svetlana is engaged in legal practice, but does not try to devote much time to her work. Career ambitions are left behind. Taking care of her husband and children came to the fore. The eldest son Dennis goes to school, enjoys singing, and attends sports classes. Estella is taken by a caring mother to dance. There is a law in the Shatunovs' house - to speak only Russian.
