The future artist was born on April 12, 1961 in Kurgan. It is noteworthy that on the same day the first manned flight into open space took place - the Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin. Parents, ordinary Soviet people, immediately gave the child a heroic name - Yuri. His childhood passed quietly and calmly. After school, the young man continued his studies at the Kurgan Machine-Building Institute. It was during this period that he became interested in the stage and even became the head of the student theater.
Dreaming of an acting career, Galtsev went to the northern capital, where he entered the Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography. Already in his second year, Yuri began performing on the stage of the Buff Theater. Soon, other theater institutions began to invite the talented young man, and the first proposals for filming on television were also received. Galtsev was incomparable in his clownery and parody performances, finding his place in the programs of "Jurmalina" and "Full House".
Gennady Vetrov often became Yuri's partner on stage. Together they quickly became the "calling card" of the "Full House" show. The artist also made his debut in cinema. In 1986, Yuri married a second time, and the actress Irina Rakshina became his chosen one. They met while performing socially useful work, passing labor practice in Kazakhstan. Returning to St. Petersburg, Yuri and Irina were already inseparable and decided to get married.
