It's hard to believe, but Yuri Shatunov is already 45 years old. Although in the people's memory he remained the same orphanage boy, performing touching and naive songs. Now Yuri is an exemplary family man. For many years she has been married, together with his wife, he is raising a son and daughter.
Family is the most important
The group "Laskoviy May" can be treated in different ways, but one thing is certain: this musical group went down in the history of Russian music. And the most popular soloist of this group was Yuri Shatunov, it was about him that teenage girls of that time dreamed of. Yuri himself, having learned from childhood what problems in the family are (the hasty divorce of his parents, the indifference of his father, the alcoholism of his stepfather, the early death of his mother), was in no hurry to enter into a relationship, although, undoubtedly, there was no end to the applicants.
Yuri met his wife Svetlana in 2000 in Germany at a Christmas party. In one of the interviews, the couple said that when they met by chance at the hotel, they immediately drew attention to each other. Yuri liked the smiling blonde, and she was impressed by his velvety voice.
Contrary to stereotypes, the spectacular blonde had nothing to do with the world of show business. She is a lawyer by profession and a non-public person, does not like increased attention. Therefore, the Shatunov family prefers not to advertise their personal life. Son Dennis
In September 2006, the couple had their first child, the boy was named Dennis. The birth of a son was the best birthday present for Shatunov. The baby was born on September 5, and on September 6 the singer's birthday.
The relationship between Yuri and Svetlana by the time of the birth of their son had already lasted seven years, but were not formalized. When Dennis was 4 months old, the happy parents decided to get married. The celebration took place in Frankfurt am Main, which is not surprising, because Yuri and his chosen one permanently reside in Germany. The holiday turned out to be beautiful, truly solemn. The guests' attention was focused not only on the newlyweds, but also on their little son.
When the baby was one year old, he was baptized. The sacrament took place in the Church of St. Andrew the First-Called in Sochi. Svetlana's elder sister Galina became the boy's godmother, and Andrei Razin, the founder of the Laskoviy May group, became his godfather. The fact that Yuri called Andrey to be the godfathers suggests that Razin played an important role in his fate, and even after the breakup of the group, they maintain a warm relationship.
From those rare photographs that get on the net, you can see that Dennis is blond, very much like his mother, but his father's features are guessed in him. In an interview, Yuri noted that the boy is fond of vocals, loves cycling.
Daughter Estella
In 2013, a daughter, Estella, was born to Yuri and Svetlana Shatunov. This rare and beautiful name, translated from Latin, sounds like "star". Given the biography of Yuri himself (he does not have his former superpopularity, but he still remains a sought-after artist), the choice of a name can be considered symbolic. During childbirth, Yuri was next to his wife, this experience brought the couple even closer.
Estella is a blonde beauty who inherited the best features in appearance from her parents. In those few photos that are in the public domain, you can see little Estella in her father's arms. The photo captures touching moments: Yuri holds his daughter tenderly, as if protecting the world from adversity.
Although the spouses live permanently in Munich, they do not lose their ties with Russia, so their children speak fluently both German and Russian. Yuri tries to give his son and daughter what he himself lacked so much in childhood - care and love, tenderness and a sense of security. And they and Svetlana pay great attention to the education of children, believing that it is a good upbringing that will help their children in the future become successful personalities and just happy people.
