Recording music has long ceased to be the domain of exclusively professionals. An amateur who knows the basics of sound engineering and has some technical devices can create music on a computer, and in terms of quality it will give odds to respectable studios.
The voice is a melodic instrument that requires special attention during recording. The process of creating a track with vocals requires specific knowledge.

- Noise-isolating microphone;
- Mixing console;
- Amplifier;
- Cables;
- Computer with sound recording software installed.
Instructions
Step 1
Vocals are recorded on the track last, after the rhythm section (drums, bass and rhythm guitar), keyboards, lead guitar and other instruments. This is the most convenient recording option, proven by the experience of many musicians. So, if the "backing track" is ready, open it in a sound recording program (audio editor) and prepare a new track for voice recording.
Step 2
Plug in your microphone and check its condition with a few words. They should sound in the amplifier.
Step 3
Run the minus track one or two before the voice starts. Play a section (intro, lead, bridge, or chorus) and stop recording. If you make a mistake, stop recording immediately and return to the beginning of the segment. Sing it several times until you achieve the ideal (or near-ideal) version. Listen to the fragment and make sure that there is no fake anywhere.
Step 4
Skip to the next section, start playing a measure or two before the voice starts. Perform in the same vein several times until it works out perfectly. If you make a mistake, stop right away.
Step 5
For simplicity, duplicate fragments can be copied and pasted in the desired places.
Step 6
Listen to the track separately, remove noise, add the desired special effects. Listen to how the voice in processing sounds with a "backing track", remove unnecessary effects.
