Initially, it was announced to moviegoers that the premiere of "Solstice" would take place only in early August. As a result, the creators of the picture managed to cope with their task faster, and the date of the first screening was postponed.

Ari Astaire became not only the main director of the film, but also the scriptwriter. Gradually, other well-known names joined the crew. For example, Patrick Andersson and Lars Knudsen. Plot
Friends have long invited a couple of lovers to visit them. For a long time, young people could not decide on a long journey. During their next vacation, the couple still planned to go to the Swedish hinterland. Initially, they could not imagine what the trip would turn out to be for them.
A small village in Sweden, visited by lovers, is surrounded by endless forests and fields. So getting out of it, even if you wish, is not so easy. When the young people arrived at the indicated place, they learned that the villagers had just begun preparations for the traditional ceremony. The feast of the solstice was approaching. Such a ceremony was performed regularly, but only once every several decades. A couple of tourists managed to get exactly in a significant year, which they were very happy about at first. The most unusual was the ritual in honor of Midsummer. The lovers really wanted to see how everything would happen.
Only later did the young people find out that most of the inhabitants of the Scandinavian village in which they found themselves were adherents of an eerie pagan cult, and their rituals were bloody terrible.
It is unlikely that the lovers together will be able to resist the whole village. And intoxicated blood, too. All that remains is to run as soon as possible and further away. But how to do this, if around the field, forest, and every step of the guests are watched by dangerous fanatics? Whether the couple will succeed in escaping, viewers will only find out at the very end of the film. If the lovers can stay alive, then they definitely won't want to travel anymore.
It should be noted right away that the trailer turned out to be quite scary. It's definitely not worth watching with the smallest moviegoers. The film has an age limit - 18+, like most films of this genre.
