Winter mittens are an indispensable part of baby's clothes for long walks. Keeping his hands warm is important, which is why caring mothers often carry one or more spare pairs with them to shift. Try to knit the baby's mittens with your own hands. It is recommended to make a long elastic band on them in order to pull the product high on the child's hand; make the bottom lining layer (inner mitt) of thin soft yarn; the upper (outer mitten) is made of natural sheep wool.

Instructions
Step 1
Cast on four knitting needles the required number of loops and knit several circular rows with a 1x1 elastic band (front - purl) using woolen yarn and auxiliary cotton thread. Be sure to try on knitting on the baby's hand in order to adjust the size of the future mittens. In the future, also do fitting from time to time.
Step 2
Tie the elastic to the desired height and remove the auxiliary thread from the knitted fabric. To do this, you can carefully trim it with sharp nail scissors and pull out the trim.
Step 3
Continue knitting the mitten with wool yarn. On each knitting needle, it is necessary to make an increase - knit two front loops from one thread bow. It is important that additional loops are spaced at equal intervals from each other.
Step 4
Knit in circular rows of hosiery until you reach the base of your thumb. Calculate the thickness of the future knitted finger based on the size of the baby's hand and your knitting density. Then remove the required number of open loops per pin.
Step 5
Run a circular fabric of the mitten, tying it to the end of the baby's index finger. After that, the untied thing must be turned inside out.
Step 6
Cast on the loops along the bottom edge of the elastic of the front mitten. This will be the beginning of the purl of the double piece. It is recommended to knit it from thinner yarn, soft and pleasant to wear (for example, containing acrylic fibers).
Step 7
Knit a lining mitten using the front piece as a sample. Finish the work in the same step as when making the outer mitten. Close the toe, first the inner, then the outer part; Pull the remaining end of the yarn to the wrong side of the work.
Step 8
Tie your thumbs on the face and lining of the double mitten. To do this, dial the loops left on the pin on the knitting needles, add the same number of loops and an additional four side loops. Start knitting the finger of the inner mitt - finish it to the middle of the nail and complete the toe.
Step 9
Insert the finished lining toe into the outer mitten's toe hole and tie it around so that the lining and face of the double piece fit perfectly together.
Step 10
Place the mitten lining inside and sew a few hand-stitches at the toes to attach all the details.
