Caring for a tangerine tree at home includes feeding and watering, ensuring a good location, and forming a crown. To do this, it is necessary to pinch the tops in time, remove stretched branches, dried leaves.
In a young plant, some flowers must be removed during flowering. So the tree will not be depleted and several full-fledged fruits can grow on it. It is good when there are about twenty leaves per ovary. The less fruit there is on the tangerine, the larger they grow.
In a fruiting tangerine, branches with fruits must be tied to a support, otherwise they may break from the severity of the fruit. A plant without fruit will not have the same attractive appearance.
A tangerine growing at home must be protected from the appearance of pests, from possible diseases. The most common damage by such pests as mealybug, scale insect, red spider mite. Spraying the trees with soapy water helps from the scabbard. For three liters of water, you need to take a couple of tablespoons of liquid soap, dilute. First, it is better to clean off the pests by hand and only then spray. The solution should be kept on the leaves for half an hour, after which everything should be washed off with clean warm water. If the plant is damaged by a spider mite, it must, if possible, be harvested by hand, wipe the foliage and branches with cotton wool dipped in alcohol or cold water, then spray it with a two-day infusion of garlic or onion - crush 200 grams and pour three liters of boiled warm water.
If the plant is affected by a mealybug, remove the pest with a cotton swab, spray with garlic infusion. The procedure must be repeated three times every seven days. If the pest infestation is severe, a strong chemical should be used. It must be used in strict accordance with the attached instructions.
