Step 1
Fillet knitting is based on a fillet net that is filled with a pattern. Fillet mesh is the simplest mesh crocheted with crochet stitches.
Scheme 1 shows a sirloin mesh, which is connected with columns with one crochet, between which there is one air loop. The column is knitted to the top of the column of the previous row.
Scheme 2 shows a sirloin mesh, which is also tied with single crochet stitches, but two air loops are knitted between the stitches. It is better to use such a sirloin mesh, since the patterns made on the basis of such a calculation look clearer, more convex.
Step 2
In order to knit not just a net consisting of empty cells, which will be very similar to an ordinary fishing net, but a real patterned fabric, as the rows of sirloin net are knitted, it must be filled with cells, which consist of columns tightly pressed together, like on the scheme 3 and 4 (the filling of the fillet mesh cells with columns is shown). On schemes designed for sirloin knitting, such filled cells are indicated by filled squares or bold dots in the squares. Empty cells on the diagram, respectively, are empty or light squares.
