There are a great many types of Christmas tree decorations. These are balls, icicles, stars, lanterns, fruits, gnomes, animals. It will not be difficult to depict them on a postcard and will give you pleasure.
It is necessary
- - paper;
- - a simple pencil;
- - eraser;
- - materials for work in color.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the materials you need for work, as well as a card blank - a sheet of paper folded in half. Think about what kind of toy you will draw. To do this, you can look at pictures of toys on the Internet, look for your own New Year's decorations, draw from life or come up with your own unique toy. It can be flying saucers, a dragon, an exotic flower, a funny fairy-tale character, and more.
Step 2
With a simple pencil, start sketching. Also consider how and on what your toys will be located. Maybe they will hang on a spruce branch? Or they will lie in a basket, on tinsel, just on a beautiful background. Sketch initially large objects. Then mark the toys themselves with large circles and ovals.
Step 3
Use the pencil to continue working on your sketch. If you are drawing a ball, then a compass will come in handy in your work. Icicles have an elongated shape and are twisted in the most bizarre way, it is easier to draw them from elongated ovals. It is convenient to draw houses and lanterns from rectangles. Build various fairy-tale characters from ovals (body, limbs) and circles (head). Christmas decorations are a stylized image of an object. Therefore, it is quite possible not to draw various details.
Step 4
Supplement the image of toys with patterns (ornament of stars, snowflakes, lines, dots, etc.), a clarifying pattern (expressive eyes, bows, etc.). Prepare materials to work in color. Any material will work for you, but it is advisable to combine colored pencils and crayons with felt-tip pens, helium pens and other bright materials. Glitter gel in tubes, gold and silver helium pens can also be useful to you. You can even use glitter nail polish. All this will add brightness to your drawing.
Step 5
Start with the background. Then apply the primary colors. Try to apply strokes (strokes) in the shape of the toy. Next, define a shadow, taking a darker color than the main one. After drying, if you work with paints, start decorating with patterns. Use gouache, helium pens, nail polish and other materials of your choice for drawing patterns. Dry the finished drawing and, if necessary, make adjustments.
