Fringe is a very simple and common way to decorate clothes and other items. Fringe can be used to decorate many things: a scarf, a sweater or a soft toy. The main thing is to have imagination and follow the instructions.
It is necessary
Rectangular cardboard, suitable thread for fringe, crochet hook
Instructions
Step 1
For knitting fringes, take a rectangular cardboard pattern. When making it, keep in mind that the length of the finished fringe will be 1 cm less (due to the fastening loop) than the length of the threads prepared for it. Cut the template to the desired size. Wrap it with thread. Cut the winding on one side of the template.
Step 2
Determine the number of fringe holes along the edge of the garment. There should be about 5-6 times more thread segments for it. Fold 5-6 segments in half to create a loop. Insert the hook into the hem of the garment from the wrong side. Grab the loop, pull it over the edge of the product. Crochet its two ends and pull through the resulting loop. Tighten the loop and the fringe is ready.
Step 3
The fringe can also be tied in 1-3 rows in knots. In this case, make it longer. Tie the knots as follows - fold the left thread of one loop and the right thread of the other loop. Then tie it in a knot. Thus, make knots on all threads of the fringe. Tie the first (right) and last (left) threads in the first and last knots. Remember not to place the fringe brushes too far apart. If you have some thread left over for the fringe, make it shorter. Don't make the fringe too sparse, it doesn't look very pretty.
Step 4
The fringe, if desired, can be decorated not only with simple knots, but also with knots made using the macrame technique. The finished fringe will add originality and identity to your product. A curtain or tulle decorated with fringes will not only look very beautiful and fashionable, but will also add a touch of piquancy and sophistication to your interior.
