Step 1
Decide on the option and type of decoration for your product. A silk scarf with a fringe of their shiny thread with lurex looks exquisite. A woolen, long scarf of coarse knit with fluffy strands at the ends looks cozy. Fantasy and taste will tell you what length, color, texture the fringe will be for your scarf.
Step 2
Count the number of holes for fastening the fringe and the number of tufts (there should be five to six times more). If the scarf is fabric, hand sew the edges with a thread to match, this will be the basis for the fringe. Calculate the size of the template, the width of which should be equal to the length of the fringe.

Loosely wrap the cardboard with threads, cut them at one end. There will be many threads of the same length. Fold the first piece in half into a loop. Insert the hook into the edge of the scarf, grab the loop, and pull it through the hole. Gently picking up the ends of the strand, pull them through the resulting loop. Pull the thread from the right side, then you get a knot with a constriction. Work on the wrong side, get the eyelet. Adjust the amount of fringe by adding the desired number of sections per hole.
Step 4
Finish at one end of the scarf, then work at the other. After finishing knitting the fringe, lay the garment on a flat surface. Iron the threads lightly. Make sure the strands are straight enough, if necessary, trim them with scissors.
Step 5
Get creative with a long fringed scarf. Divide it into equal number of bundles of three strands and braid small braids. Decorate the bottom of the braids with large beads or pompoms. Make the pattern with macrame knots (very effective for a thin scarf with long thread fringes). A scarf with a fringe in the form of fluffy tassels looks unusual. Take a thick bunch, wrap a centimeter below the fastening and tie it with a thread. Repeat the action around the entire edge of the thing. You can mask the winding with beads, beads of a contrasting color.
