A simple decorative tassel is a versatile piece that you can use to decorate your hair, ethnic belt, warm scarf, hat, home plaid, and more. It is very easy to make a fluffy wool tassel - you will cope with this task in a few minutes, even if you have never done knitting or other types of needlework before. To make a brush, you need scissors, cardboard and yarn of the selected color.

It is necessary

  • - scissors;
  • - cardboard;
  • - yarn.

Instructions

Step 1

Fold a piece of cardboard in half for strength. The size of the cardboard blank should correspond to the planned length of the brush from the top point to the bottom edge of the threads. Take the end of the working thread from the ball and start wrapping yarn around the cardboard base. The more magnificent the winding is and the more turns you make, the more voluminous and more beautiful the finished brush will turn out.

Step 2

After winding the required number of turns of yarn on cardboard, take scissors and carefully cut the threads at the lower fold, after passing a piece of thread through the upper fold and tying it tightly.

Step 3

Remove the brush blank from the cardboard, and then cut another piece of thread and tie the brush, stepping back a couple of centimeters from the top tied edge. The brush will become fluffy and voluminous.

Step 4

Shake the brush and straighten the threads, and then, holding it in weight, carefully trim the bottom edge of the brush with scissors so that all threads end at the same level and have the same length. Such an ornament will look neater and tidier than an uncut brush.

Step 5

Twist the two threads coming out of the top of the tassel and use them to tie the brush to a blanket, scarf or hat.

Step 6

If you don't have cardboard, you can make a tassel using your own palm - wind the yarn around the straightened fingers of your left hand instead of a cardboard base.

Step 7

Tie the finished skein in the same way as described above, tie at the top fold, cut the bottom fold, and then tie the brush a short distance from the top and trim its edges. To make the brush even fluffier, steam it from the iron.
