It is necessary

  • Egg-shaped foam blank
  • Cotton or silk thread
  • Polyethylene
  • PVA glue
  • Tipped needles

Instructions

Step 1

To begin with, we cover the workpiece with a layer of film so that the "cocoon" of threads does not stick to the foam and can be easily removed from the egg. Please note that the egg will be in two halves. One of which will be with a curly "window".

Step 2

For the half with a "window", we stick needles into the foam blank along the perimeter of the figured cutout - "window". The second row of needles will need to be made along the oval of the workpiece. For the second half, only one row of needles is needed - along the oval of the workpiece.

Step 3

Then we begin to wrap the egg. We wrap with threads dipped in glue. It is best to do this in a specific order. For example, in a zigzag pattern, alternately grabbing the needles of the outer and inner rows.

Step 4

When the rug is completely ready, it is once again covered with a thin layer of PVA glue for greater strength of the product. We leave it until it dries completely and then, carefully removing the needles, remove the resulting half.

Step 5

We also wrap the second half with threads, only cover it with threads all over, without leaving a "window".

Step 6

Glue the completely dried halves together and decorate with a thin ribbon or braid. You can place a small chicken, rabbit or lamb inside and decorate as you wish.
