On Easter, people paint eggs and bake cakes. Then they take them to church to be consecrated. For this, a homemade burlap basket is ideal.
A beautiful burlap basket will be able to decorate any interior and will attract the enthusiastic glances of other people. The manufacturing process of such a basket consists of several stages.
At the first stage, they look for the necessary container, which will give the desired shape to the future product. A glass or plastic jar is ideal for this. It is turned upside down and a plastic bag is put on it.
At the next stage, a piece of burlap is cut off with a margin. In this case, a 40 * 40 cm canvas is suitable. Then, PVA glue with water is diluted in a small container in a 1: 1 ratio. A piece of burlap is dipped into this mixture. It should be completely saturated with the adhesive mass.
Next, take the soaked burlap and wrap it around the jar. Before that, the excess liquid is squeezed out of it. The burlap is tied tightly with twine around the can. Then this whole structure is placed in a warm place to dry.
At the third stage of creating a decorative product, the hardened burlap is removed from the can, the twine is untied and the protruding ends of the fabric are cut off. It turns out a ready-made base for the basket.
Handles of convenient length are made of wire, which are pasted over with twine and attached to the base. If there are ready-made laces or decorations in the house, then they can be attached to this product using hot melt glue. The result is a very beautiful DIY Easter craft, which will cheer up its creator in a moment.
