Biography
David Lynch was born on January 20, 1946 in the American town of Missoula. His father was a scientist and was engaged in scientific work on the basis of the Ministry of Agriculture. That is why the family was constantly moving from place to place.
Since childhood, the boy became interested in drawing, he especially liked to depict airplanes and weapons: machine guns, pistols. By the 9th grade, Lynch finally made up his mind and decided to become an artist. He enthusiastically took up this art form, so he was almost expelled from school. In 1965, David Lynch entered the Pennsylvania Academy of the Arts, located in Philadelphia. There he took up painting, photography and sculpture.
At the academy, Lynch became interested in animation, and for his graduation work he created the short animated film Six Get Sick. during the same period, the young man was working on his first film "Grandma", which he presented to the competition of the American Film Institute. It is thanks to his film, which lasted only 35 minutes, that the future director receives a scholarship.

During his directing career, David Lynch has directed 10 feature films and the famous TV series Twin Peaks. All his paintings are united by surreal details filled with brightness, mystical and psychedelic qualities.
David Lynch filmed his debut full-length film entitled "The Eraser Man" for 5 years. His creation was published in 1977. The audience was subdued and shocked by the image of the protagonist, who is trying to preserve his sanity in the sad wasteland of the city. At the same time, the terrible realities of the world constantly fall on him, for example, it turns out that a man has a premature baby from his old friend.
One of David's outstanding films is Blue Velvet. It was thanks to him that Lynch's inimitable and unique directorial style was formed. An old-fashioned American pastoral, a laid-back town filled with dire mysteries. It is they who begin to gradually open up, unraveling the tangle of horror.
Starring David Lynch's favorite actors: Kyle McLachlan, Denis Hopper and the inimitable Isabella Rossellini. Initially, a large number of stars refused to act in films, because they considered their roles very cruel, and the script was strange, provocative, unpromising. The plot of the film takes place in a provincial town where the main character was forced to return. It is there that a chain of strange, terrible and mystical events begins to unfold, which began with the fact that the hero of Kyle McLachlan found a human ear on the territory of his house.
Another famous work that made the director famous is the TV series Twin Peaks. The script was invented by Lynch and Mark Frost, they also acted as producers. All the action takes place in a small provincial town, where locals find the dead body of schoolgirl Laura Palmer, wrapped in plastic wrap. The investigation is being carried out by a young detective Dale Cooper. Gradually, the frightening, terrible and disgusting secrets of the townspeople begin to creep out. The series for its time was a real breakthrough, the audience was attracted by mysticism, mystery, everyone was interested in the answer to the question: who killed Laura Palmer?
Income
Lynch shot most of the films almost at his own expense, and some of the films simply failed at the box office and did not bring any income to the director. Therefore, one cannot say that David created his masterpieces for the sake of earning money.
In addition to making films, David Lynch decided to develop his hobbies. He is a real coffee lover, so he created a brand of organic coffee, the line consists of three products.
