Very often, despite all the tricks and tricks of an experienced angler, the fish simply does not bite. Numerous attempts to change the "familiar" place lead nowhere. Even the correct bait is used, not to mention the correct fishing tactics, however … The result is zero. So what could be the reason? Why doesn't the fish bite?
The world of aquatic inhabitants is quite diverse and changeable. Factors such as water conditions, weather or food supply are constantly changing. As a result, the level of activity of the fish also changes. A true angler must consider all of these aspects. By analyzing and comparing all the conditions, he can determine the place where the bite will be most likely.
Almost all fish species are very sensitive to weather fluctuations: changes in atmospheric pressure, the onset of a cold front, a change in the direction of the wind, etc. These are things that the professional angler feels intuitively, but for beginners they can be difficult. At first, you can even use various devices for fishing, which record changes in the weather, but with experience this need disappears.
Everyone knows that the warmer the air temperature, the warmer the water. Fish is a cold-blooded creature, so its activity is directly proportional to temperature fluctuations. If the water is warm, then the bite will be more active, since in the warmth the fish digests food much faster. An exception may be too high a water temperature when the fish is only half active. That is why more efficient fishing is observed in the spring and early summer. And most fish species spawn in the spring.
The condition of the sky (sunny or cloudy) also affects where the bite is good. If the weather is cloudy, then the fish prefers to feed on the shallows or near the surface of the water. This rule must be taken into account when placing a load on the line. During sunny weather, the fish go to the depths, hiding in the shade of algae.
Some reputable fishing publications even publish a calendar of the lunar phases that affect the activity of the inhabitants of the reservoirs. In particular, fish are very sensitive to the gravitational influence of the Moon on the Earth's water bodies. Although this is of secondary importance, it is still taken into account by the most experienced anglers, who predicted the relative stability of the weather in the coming days.
