Divine Divinity is a cult role-playing project that is considered to be a classic today. Many players still join one of the best works of the genre, but the age of the project makes itself felt: many aspects of the gameplay remain incomprehensible to the modern gamer.
Instructions
Step 1
Learn the principles of gaining experience. In Divine, the amount of experience gained for different actions is constantly changing. So, for killing a rat at the first levels of development, you will receive 50 experience points, while from the 10th - only 49, 48 and further. Starting from level 30, you will no longer receive experience for killing animals altogether.
Step 2
Postpone the assignments for later. The higher your level is at the time of completing the task (even the simplest one), the more XP you will receive for completing it. As a result, in order to get the most powerful character, you first need to start clearing locations and only after that start completing quests.
Step 3
Be focused. The game does not limit you in character development - you can learn any skill of any class, but you should not do this. All weapons in the game are equivalent (there is no strongest class), and therefore it makes sense to develop only skills associated with this type of equipment (for example, sword skill) and the type of character you have chosen (warrior, vagrant, magician). The most powerful skills are located at the end of the skill tree, and therefore, being very scattered, you risk not getting the necessary "skills" at all.
Step 4
Learn a few essential skills, regardless of the type of hero. First of all, you need to "unlock the locks" so as not to suffer with the search for keys. Then, develop "alchemy" to the second level in order to create potions from the available herbs. Finally, master enchanting to insert magical gems into weapons.
Step 5
Try not to miss side quests and respond to any tasks that you are offered. The point is not only to raise a stronger hero: often for completing quests they give unique skills (for example, treatment) that cannot be obtained in another way.
