Marmots are soft and fluffy rodents that hibernate in winter. They live in burrows. Marmots that live on the plains are called bobaks - these are the very ones that predict the coming of spring. How do you draw them?
It is necessary
- - album sheet
- - pencil
- - eraser
Instructions
Step 1
Sketch the marmot in pencil. Draw a vertical oval. Draw a circle in the middle of the bottom of the oval. This will be the body and thigh of the groundhog. At the top of the oval, draw another circle that goes beyond it. Above the circle, slightly overlapping it, draw an oval, located horizontally with slightly flattened sides. This will be the head of the animal. Draw a small circle on the right side - the groundhog's nose. Now, on the circle that symbolizes the breast, draw the front legs in the form of two curved sticks. Also draw the hind legs adjacent to the thigh circle. On the lower left side of the oval, add the tail of the groundhog. Draw it with a long oval lying horizontally.
Step 2
Draw the outline of the marmot, tracing all the parts sketched with a pencil at a minimum distance from them.
Step 3
Draw the details of the rodent. Draw a rather large animal's eye in a slightly elongated oval with pointed corners. On the line of the eyes closer to the back of the head, depict the ear of the groundhog with a dark vertical stroke. Draw the animal's nose with a small triangle. Draw a short vertical stroke downwards from it, diverging in different directions in smooth lines. From the middle of the head, draw the right border of the front paw. Draw the second border, depicting a bent paw. Draw well the claws of the marmot - long and sharp. Draw the second leg peeking out from behind the torso.
Step 4
Draw the thigh of the groundhog with an arched line. Continue the line, depicting powerful legs with long claws. Note that the feet of the hind legs are long and straight.
Step 5
Paint the groundhog. Make the area around the eyes and nose a very light shade of brown. Mark the fur with light stripes along the outline of the front paw. Lighten the chest and hind feet a little. Add some light strokes and the rodent's fluffy tail. Now paint over all the other areas with warm brown paint, adding some redheads in places, and darkening with deeper brown in some places.
