Have you already knitted the back and shelf? It remains to tie the sleeves. It's not difficult at all!
It is necessary
- - knitting needles
- - yarn
- - hook
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, look at the pattern - what is the shape of your armhole. Depending on this, you will need to finish the sleeve.
You should start from the bottom, with an elastic band. Cast on just enough loops to wrap around your wrist. As a rule, the elastic is knitted as follows: two front loops, then two purl loops, then the process is repeated. After 4-5 centimeters, you can start knitting the main pattern, while adding loops from the sides to expand your sleeve.
Step 2
If your armhole is rectangular, then finishing such a sleeve is as easy as shelling pears. Close the buttonhole in a straight line and you can sew the sleeve to the model. If you have an armhole of a complex shape, then close the loops strictly according to the description, gradually decreasing the loops. Make the rounding smooth, without sharp transitions. Use a crochet hook to sew the sleeve to the garment.
Step 3
There is an option to start the sleeve not with an elastic band, but with the front satin stitch. In this way, knit two to three centimeters. The smooth surface will roll up by itself, and then instead of an elastic band you will have a funny round border.
