If the working thread is not properly threaded into the sewing machine, the device may tear, tangled, or pull the thread too tightly, or it may simply refuse to sew. Follow the instructions that came with your machine model, but if not, follow the general rules for threading.
Instructions
Step 1
First, raise the presser foot (at the back of the machine) and use the handwheel to move the needle to its highest position.
Step 2
Place the spool of thread on the spool on top of the machine. Sometimes there are two such rods, and it doesn't matter which one you put the coil on.
Step 3
Draw the thread from the spool through the upper thread guide (ring or hook at the top of the machine). This step is necessary for the thread to go further at a certain angle. Then pass the thread through the upper thread tension dial. The latter usually consists of two metal discs adjacent to each other. When passing the thread between the discs, bend the thread around the bottom of the thread adjuster.
Step 4
Next to the thread tension regulator there is a thread guide hook (metal or wire), on which you need to hook the thread further.
Step 5
Then insert the thread into the thread take-up hole (vertically moving lever with "eye").
Step 6
Lower the thread and pull or pass it through the two lower thread guides closest to the needle.
Step 7
Insert the thread into the eye of the needle from the side where the long groove of the needle is.
Step 8
While holding the upper thread, pull the bobbin thread up with the handwheel and pull both threads away from you under the presser foot. The ends of both threads should lie flat and be no more than 8-10 centimeters.
Step 9
If the process of threading every time causes you difficulties or you forget the sequence of steps, do not remove the thread that is already threaded, but not suitable for you, but cut it off at the spool. Tie the desired thread to the cut end and pull it through all thread guides, adjusters, and holes all the way to the eye of the needle. Only then cut off the unnecessary thread and pull the newly installed thread into the eyelet.
