It is necessary

Clay, stacks, brushes, a can of water, scissors, gouache, pencil, white water-based paint, chalk, tempera, golden foil, PVA glue

Instructions

Step 1

The classic Dymkovo figurine is a clay young lady. Make this toy using basic sculpting techniques, and later you can sculpt other figures. Place a ball of clay around your index finger. Thus, you will complete the basis of the toy - a mortar-bell. This detail is a stable base and a fluffy skirt at the same time. Its height should be slightly more than half the total height of the figure.

Step 2

Shape the torso and attach it to the mortar so that it has the greatest volume at chest level and is narrower at the waist and shoulders. Roll a ball from a lump of clay - a head and two balls - hands. Attach these pieces to your torso.

Step 3

Attach a small bump to the head - a nose that protrudes slightly on a flat face. Roll out a small layer of clay, form from it part of the hairstyle that covers the head. From the roller, make a braid for the young lady.

Step 4

Using a stack or a knife from a flat-rolled layer, cut out a lace kokoshnik or cap, attach it to the head. Cut an apron out of the clay and secure it to the skirt. Also attach a wide ribbon that ties the apron at the waist. Throw a shawl over the shoulders of the young lady or make a stand-up collar.

Step 5

Dry the toy for 3 - 5 days. Firing is carried out after drying in a muffle furnace. Firing temperature 600 - 700 ° C.

Step 6

Prime the toy with white water-based paint and chalk. To give the garment a special whiteness, apply the last coat with white tempera paint.

Step 7

After the primer is dry, start painting. You can use gouache, but for best results, tempera diluted with egg white. The painting will be moisture resistant. Traditionally, yellow, orange, red, crimson, blue, blue, emerald and green colors are used in painting. Black and brown are in very small quantities. Elements of painting "haze" - simple geometric shapes: rings, stripes, circles.

Step 8

Apply gilding, use elements cut from foil for this. Glue them with glue on the young lady's clothes.
