It is necessary

  • - the cloth;
  • - hoop;
  • - floss, woolen or silk threads;
  • - a needle.

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the fabric you are going to embroider on. Wash it so that it does not shrink or deform in the future, iron it out. Draw on the material with a simple pencil. Copy it or invent it yourself, the main thing is that it consists of contour lines that will be embroidered with colored threads. Hoop the fabric so that the design is centered.

Step 2

Insert the thread into the needle. If you chose floss for work, separate 3-4 threads, depending on the desired density of the pattern. You can also use woolen or silk threads, iris, chamomile. Use a wide-eye needle. Tie a neat knot at the end.

Step 3

Insert the needle into the position on the fabric at the point where the outline of the pattern begins. Pull out the entire thread. Place it with a ring, insert the point of the needle in the place where the embroidery originates, and bring it out on the sketch line 4-5 mm from the first point. Make sure that the long end of the thread wraps around the needle as it enters the loop. Pull out the needle, pull it up to get a beautiful, even loop. Make the second stitch in the same way, insert the needle into the center of the first loop, step back half a centimeter from it, pull the needle to the front side of the embroidery, after having thrown the thread over it. The loops form an even chain. In order to finish the chain, make a small stitch overlapping the ring of the last loop, bring the needle and thread to the wrong side, fasten in the usual way.

Step 4

To decorate the round cores of flowers, for the image of berries, embroider with a chain stitch spirals, unwinding from the center to the edge. To make the design more saturated, for example, to create thick branches, lay several chains, made with chain stitches, parallel to each other. If you change the direction of the seam running from the seamy side each time, you get a kind of zigzag from the loops. It is used to decorate the edging of the product.
