Psychologists recommend hand gum as an anti-stress toy. She is very flexible. If, for example, you leave the gum in a warm room, then after a while it will take the form of a sticky puddle. If you knead this toy in your hands, then to the touch it will remind you of plasticine. Interestingly, if you throw the chewing gum against a wall, for example, it will become strong and very elastic, literally in a matter of seconds. In this state, the gum is a bit like a rubber ball.
Step 2
All the ingredients needed to make gum can be purchased without any problems at any office supply store, you may already have them in your home. Difficulties can arise with only one component - this is sodium tetraborate, otherwise it is called "borax", you will have to look for it. This "treasure" can be bought at the pharmacy, for example, in the form of a solution. This is usually a glycerin-based liquid with a borax content of about 20%.
Step 3
First you need to take a plastic container and pour PVA glue there. It is very important that the glue is fresh, so check the date of manufacture when purchasing. Now add fresh gouache to the PVA, not too much so that the future gum does not get dirty. This mixture must be thoroughly mixed until a homogeneous mass is obtained.
Step 4
After that comes the turn of the very "magic" component that is so difficult to acquire, this is sodium tetraborate. It must be carefully added to the mixture of glue and paint, just two or three drops are enough, the resulting mixture must be quickly and thoroughly mixed. The resulting "dough" will gradually begin to thicken, this signals that the process of making hand gum is almost complete. Now it's time to remove the resulting plasticine from the container. Wrap it in plastic wrap and knead it well in your hands. That's it, the chewing gum for your hands is ready, you can safely start playing.
