Scrapbooking is a photo album design technique that has become widespread since 1826. The birthplace of scrapbooking is Germany, it was there that the first book was published, which told about the secrets of the technique and possible implementation options.
Required tools and materials
To create an album for a newborn you will need:
- album binding;
- white and colored office paper;
- PVA glue;
- scissors are even and curly;
- corrugated cardboard;
- scrap paper;
- Double-sided tape;
- glue "Moment crystal";
- embroidered picture;
- synthetic winterizer;
- ruler;
- threads;
- corner punch, border punch, "butterfly";
- a piece of foam rubber;
- sewing machine;
- white wallpaper;
- sheets for pastels;
- stamps;
- glitter.
Build Pages
Cut 19 pieces of 13x18 cm out of white office paper. Work the long sides with a curb hole punch. Cut out 19 squares with a side of 21 cm from office paper of turquoise and blue. Perform a similar operation for cutting squares with a side of 10 cm with scrap paper, process one corner of the square with an angled hole punch.
Set the sewing ripper perpendicular to the sheet of paper and slide while pressing lightly. Once you've finished manipulating the sheets, paint the edge with blue paint. Use an edge punch to punch the long side of the remaining rectangles.
Cut 19 squares 24x24 cm from white wallpaper with a suitable texture. To prevent them from curling, iron them through the fabric. Using a glue stick, glue the squares on top of each other, starting from the bottom layer - rectangle - blue square - small square - backing. Sheets with a turquoise square are collected in the same way.
Photo corners are made of thick scrap paper. Cut 38 rectangles measuring 5, 5x2, 5 cm, cut the bottom edge with curly scissors. Fold the right side towards the center to form a corner. Then wrap the other side over and iron thoroughly. Glue the corners with double-sided tape.
Stitch the leaves with blue threads on a sewing machine, making an indent on the foot from the white square.
Decorating pages
For decoration, prepare 10 bows from satin ribbons and butterflies created with a hole punch. On the first page in the upper right corner, secure the decal and rub. In the lower corner, fix a bow, put a heart stamp next to it and glue a rhinestone. On the left side, glue a flat button and a volumetric contour butterfly sticker. On the right, glue the hole-punch butterfly and stamp the butterfly. Finish with silver glitter accents.
For a group of the following pages, lace 2, 5 - 3 cm wide will be required. Gather one edge on a thread, pull it into a flower and fasten. Sew a white sequin in the center. On the page with a horizontal photo at the top right, glue a flower and two hole-punching butterflies. At the top, place the sticker - ladybug and butterfly stamp. Below is a heart stamp, a volumetric contour sticker with a butterfly and a small flower.
Photo album cover
Cut out two squares with a side of 25 cm from corrugated cardboard. From calico or chintz, cut two squares - 32x32 cm, from synthetic winterizer - 25x25 cm. The basis of the decor will be a pre-embroidered picture.
Fold 1.5 cm on each side of the embroidery and secure with pins. Cut two ribbons of lace 45 and 30 cm. Lay the short lace on the front of the future cover and stitch on the sewing machine. Place the embroidery in the center of the cover, stitch to the edge. Put the cover face down, place the padding polyester and cardboard backing on top. Glue one sidewall with glue, wrap and glue, also glue the rest of the sides. On the back of the pages of the block, glue double-sided tape around the perimeter, secure the pages, alternating them according to design.
