Every year there are more and more cosmetic decorative novelties in the arsenal of every girl, so it is not surprising that the demand for cosmetic bags is growing - irreplaceable travel gizmos of the beautiful half of humanity, helping to keep all kinds of cosmetics on the road in order.
How to sew a simple cosmetic bag
You will need:
- suitable fabric for the cosmetic bag;
- threads;
- scissors;
- cardboard;
- lightning.
On cardboard, draw a rectangle of the width and length that you want to have in the end, and cut the part. Using the cut out piece of cardboard as a template, cut out two identical rectangles from the fabric intended for the cosmetic bag.
Carefully baste the zipper to the top edges of the fabric rectangles: place the zipper in front of you, place the fabric rectangle over it with the right side facing the zipper so that its cut coincides with the edge of the zipper, then sew with a sewing machine. Fold the fabric to the opposite side and sew a finishing stitch. Sew the second zipper piece to the other fabric rectangle in the same way.
Fold the two halves of the cosmetic bag together and sew them together (you need to fold them with the front sides). Turn the finished product inside out. If desired, the "dog" can be decorated by attaching a decorative keychain to it.
How to sew a cosmetic box
A cosmetic case-chest is a rather practical product, as it is roomy. There are several types of such cosmetic bags: vertical cylindrical, volumetric "with ears", cylindrical horizontal. The latter is the most demanded option.
You will need:
- plain fabric;
- threads;
- zipper;
- acrylic paints;
- needle;
- scissors.
Cut two rectangles out of the fabric. Their length can be any, the main thing is that it coincides with the length of the prepared lock.
Paint any designs on the fabric with acrylics. Let the patterns dry, then iron the patterned fabric pieces.
Fold the top edges of the fabric under the zipper and iron them.
Baste the lock and stitch with a sewing machine.
Fold both sides of the fabric right sides together and sew the bottom.
Lay the fabric so that the lock is at the bottom and the bottom seam is strictly on top of it. Stitch on the sides.
Next, form the corners of the cosmetic bag, heat them up with needles, and then sew with a sewing machine. If the fabric does not crumble, then boldly cut off the excess fabric at the corners, leaving only 0.5-0.7 cm each. If the fabric crumbles, then overcast the edges after cutting.
Turn the finished product inside out. The cosmetic box is ready.
