Crinoline is an integral part of certain categories of costume. These categories include theatrical and historical costumes, as well as wedding and evening dresses. A skirt with a crinoline looks very beautiful, aristocratic, solemn, but the crinoline itself takes up a lot of space. It's good if the costume hangs in the museum and there is enough space for this fluffy skirt, but if a different play is played in the theater this season and space is required for other costumes. Or, even more relevant, a crinoline for a wedding or evening dress takes up as much space in the apartment as not everyone can afford.
Instructions
Step 1
The only way to save space is to fold the crinoline and put it on the shelf. Namely, this is the main challenge. The rules for folding crinolines are not described anywhere. You can, of course, contact the atelier where crinolines are made, and there are few of them, and not even in every city. Or you can try to fold this frame for the skirt yourself.
Step 2
If you bought the crinoline assembled, do not try to remember how it will be disassembled when you take it out of the package. This will happen so quickly that you will definitely not have time to understand anything, let alone remember.
Step 3
To begin with, remember how toy baskets, laundry baskets and all kinds of children's tents are folded. These products are based on wire. At the heart of crinoline, wire is sometimes also used, but most often, of course, regilin. Its properties in the crinoline frame are very similar to wire.
Step 4
If your crinoline has three or fewer rings, use all of the rings at once. Lay them on top of each other, take them like the steering wheel of a car, turn them so that you get an eight. Turn the resulting figure eight back and lay its circles on top of each other. After that, place the crinoline in a special bag, tie it up and you can put it away for storage.
Step 5
If your crinoline has more than three rings, use two for each action. You can't do it on your own, so make sure that there is someone nearby who can hold the crinoline, and subsequently a bag for it.
Step 6
Fold the rings on top of each other, take the top two and fold them into a figure eight, turn the figure eight back, connect its circles and ask the assistant to hold them folded. Fold the next two rings neatly as well, but this time on the other side. When all the rings are assembled, close the layers like a book and place in the crinoline storage bag.
When the crinoline is needed again, straighten it and let it hang and straighten a little.
