For a masquerade, a matinee in kindergarten or a school ball, a mask is needed to complete the image. Kids wearing bunny and superhero masks look cute and funny. This can be done in one hour, for this you will need the simplest materials and tools.

Instructions
Step 1
Take thick cardboard of a suitable color and draw the outlines of the mask. Pre-measure the distance from ear to ear - this will be the length of the mask. Do not forget to include a recess in the center for the nose. Cut out the mask, make holes on the left and right, and tie an elastic band that will wrap around the back of the head.
Step 2
Measure the mask and mark where the eyes should be. Remove, sketch out the outlines of the eyes (make sure they are the same) and cut them out with scissors. Color the mask, sprinkle it with glitter transparent varnish. Use a stapler to attach different elements: feathers, tinsel, pieces of fur, etc.
Step 3
To make a mask that does not cover your face, measure the circumference of your head. Cut a strip out of a sheet of paper, 3-4 cm thick, slightly longer than the circle (a couple of centimeters). If the length of the sheet is not enough, glue a strip of two or three parts. For reliability, glue it from the inside with tape. When the child has put on the mask, secure the edges at the back with a stapler.
Step 4
On a piece of cardboard, draw and color the head of the selected animal - a hare, a bear, a fox, etc. You can find a suitable picture on the Internet and print it, then stick the sheet on cardboard. The main thing is that the image is simple, understandable, the character must look forward, the ears must stick up or sideways. Cut out the image and glue in the center of the strip.
Step 5
If you have a little more time, try a volume mask. To do this, take plasticine and sculpt the mask you want. Remember to keep in mind the shape of the person wearing it.
Step 6
Pull the newspaper into small strips, weld the paste from flour or starch (you can use PVA glue). Wet the plasticine blank with water, cover with newspaper strips. Then coat with glue, cover the surface again with strips of paper. In this way, make several layers.
Step 7
Wait for the glue to dry and peel off the clay. Due to the fact that the first layer was glued with water, the form should move well. Cut out the eyes and paint the mask with gouache, glue the decorations, cover with glitter varnish. Use a stapler to fix the elastic that will hold the homemade masquerade mask on your head.
