A convenient place for storing jewelry is a box, which you can make with your own hands from scrap materials. In addition, such a box can always be designed so that it becomes the decor of your interior.
It is necessary
- Required material:
- - satin ribbon of any color 50 cm long and 5 cm wide.
- - cardboard reel made of thread (scotch tape, paper towels)
- - any decorative ribbon, flowers, beads, in a word, any decorative elements
- - 2 cardboard circles with a diameter equal to the base of the reel
Instructions
Step 1
At the satin ribbon, we singe the edges with a candle, a lighter or matches so that it does not fall off. We make a fold on one of the edges with glue.
Step 2
We glue the edge not very deeply inside the cardboard reel.
Step 3
We wrap the bobbin with tape in a circle, through the hole. In this case, the tape must be tightened tightly and glue it every two turns so that it does not slip when using the box in the future. Glue the end of the tape inside the bobbin.
Step 4
We glue a tape (a piece of cloth can be used) on cardboard circles on both sides, cut it in a circle and singe it.
Step 5
Glue a reel on one of the circles - this will be the bottom of the box.
Step 6
We attach the second circle to the top of the bobbin with a piece of decorative tape, thanks to which the lid will open and close. We decorate the bottom of the box and the lid with any decorative tape around the circumference, gluing it with hot glue.
Step 7
On top, we decorate the lid with any decorative elements, flowers, beads (to your taste). You can use old jewelry for these purposes.
Step 8
Just below the lid we glue a large bead that will act as a fastener.
Step 9
Glue a loop to the cover made of decorative tape and elastic.
Step 10
The box is ready and can take its place by the mirror. It is small in size, suitable for storing various little things (rings, earrings or brooches). This method of making a box is very simple and quick. Any needlewoman can handle it.
