When luring birds, you should not get too carried away with this, since these birds quickly feel the setup. For this type of hunting to bear fruit, the hunter must be persistent and very careful. Good camouflage also plays a significant role - you need to make yourself a suitable shelter, reminiscent of a hut. Basically, you can just cover yourself with something. The main thing here is to merge with the surrounding area as much as possible.

Spring hunting for females is strictly prohibited, therefore, only males (drakes) are hunted with a decoy duck. However, in summer and autumn, you can shoot any ducks. This is done from the boat. The vessel must be wide and fairly stable. Experienced hunters advise to shoot a bird only when it, soaring into the sky, is about to go from vertical flight to horizontal flight. The best places for such a hunt are reed thickets and other similar places.
Step 4
Such a hunt will be most effective if two people participate in it. One hunter is rowing, and the other is looking out for the bird and is shooting it. It is worth noting that the shooter must be in the bow of the boat. It is recommended to swim upwind to the ducks, as any rustle can easily scare the game away. Hunting for ducks on flights is most effective on cloudy evenings - birds fly slowly and rather low.

It is allowed to hunt birds in a running way both in summer and autumn, but not in spring! Hunters say that running duck hunting has been most effective since mid-August. Young birds at this time become independent and behave quite actively. However, they do not fly too often, so it is recommended to take a dog - spaniel or a German cop - for hunting. These dogs are gambling animals, actively exploring this or that territory. Walking hunting largely depends on the hunter's ability to sneak up on birds, as well as on his patience.
