To create a beautiful frame for photos with your own hands, you need to choose an interesting drawing or ornament, apply it to a wooden product with special paints and add beads.
It is necessary
- - acrylic paints for woodwork;
- - brushes;
- - contour for a stained-glass window;
- - beads;
- - gel-based glue, transparent.
Instructions
Step 1
Choose a frame to decorate with your own hands. This can be an ordinary inexpensive wooden frame bought in a store, or made to order in a baguette workshop. The main thing is that its frontal surface is flat, without bulges and stucco molding, and its width is sufficient for drawing a pattern.
Step 2
Cover the entire frame with a layer of acrylic woodworking paint, this will not stain your hands or clothing afterwards. If the future frame will stand on the table, and its reverse part will be visible, apply paint on this side as well. Leave it on for a couple of hours until it dries completely. If the color is not too saturated, apply a second coat.
Step 3
Apply a drawing to the painted frame with a special contour to create stained-glass windows, they are gold, silver, black. Due to the density, the contour will turn out to be voluminous, which will make the frame textured. Leave the workpiece for a while until the outline is dry. Choose a design that requires a clear separation of details, such as flowers, geometric patterns, marine themes.
Step 4
Color every detail of the drawing in your own color. Acrylic paints allow you to apply a lighter tone to a dark one, and it will not show through. Try not to put paint on the border of the path so that the drawing looks like a stained glass window. Let the paint dry, apply an extra coat of paint to give the surface a glossy shine.
Step 5
Decorate the frame with beads. To do this, apply a layer of gel-based glue (choose a transparent agent) inside the detail of the drawing, for example, in the core of a flower, do not "go" beyond the boundaries of the outline. While the glue is not dry, pour a small amount of beads on it, distribute evenly inside the borders, gently press with your finger wrapped in a soft cloth. First try to glue the beads on another surface, if a whitish coating appears on it, use a different glue.
