Instructions
Step 1
Buy a candle base from a craft store, or use regular paraffin wax / stearin candles. Cut them into cubes. Place in a saucepan and heat in a water bath.
Step 2
Prepare a candle mold. If you are not going to later take the candle out of the mold, any glass container will do - transparent, matte, colored. You can paint it in advance with paints for glass.
If the mold is removed after use (glass is not suitable in this case), lubricate it from the inside with vegetable oil - this will make it easier to remove the candle.
Step 3
Weave a wick. For this, cotton threads woven with a pigtail are suitable. The thicker the wick, the longer the candle will burn.
Step 4
Remove the melted paraffin or stearin from the stove and let it cool for 3-4 minutes. At this time, you can add essential oils to the mass. Each of the oils has its own healing properties.
Step 5
Tie any weight (such as a screw) to the end of the wick. Place it in the center of the shape. Make sure that the wick is centered throughout its length so that the candle burns evenly.
Step 6
Pour paraffin / stearin into the mold and leave to cool at room temperature.
