Salted dough jewelry is popular with young girls. First of all, because you can do it yourself, and they look original and funny. This handmade is quite a worthy replacement for expensive jewelry from the store.
It is necessary
- - a bowl for making dough;
- - two glasses of flour;
- - half a glass of salt;
- - ¾ a glass of water (it is better to add water at your discretion so that the dough turns out to be plastic and soft);
- - acrylic paints of one or more colors (or food coloring if you want to color the whole dough);
- - clear nail polish or glitter polish.
Instructions
Step 1
Stir the flour and salt in a bowl and add water in small portions until you knead the dough to the desired consistency for easy handling. To make the dough plastic, knead it for about 15 minutes. When bent, the dough should not break into separate pieces.
Step 2
Form the dough into beads. They can be either round or free-form. If you have time, you can try making small figures of fruits, animals, or other objects from the dough. It is convenient to use a needle to shape the edges. Use a large needle to make holes in all the details.
Step 3
Make holes in the beads for fishing line or thread. But make them much larger than necessary, because when baking, the small holes will become even smaller, and the part will be unsuitable for making jewelry.
Step 4
Preheat oven to 120-150 degrees. Bake the beads in the oven for about 2-3 hours. Pay close attention to the details of the decoration. Especially when the time is running out, as they can burn. Remove the base of your jewelry from the oven and let it cool completely.
Step 5
From ready-made beads, you can form a bracelet or pendant at your discretion. Paint the collected beads or other product with acrylics. To give the jewelry a glossy effect, you can top it with a clear nail polish or glitter polish - at your discretion. Products painted with multi-colored paints will look very original.
