The composition of oils can include more than 2000 components, so they often have several medicinal properties at once, but mixtures made from several types of oils are even more useful. In order to properly mix essential oils and enhance their effect, you need to adhere to the following rules.

The most important rule for preparing a mixture is that oils cannot be used in their pure form, they must be diluted with base oils. Before starting your experiments, it is advisable to read the specialized literature to find out what certain oils are used for and what negative effects they have (for example, whether they cause allergies). Then you need to find out which oils can be mixed with each other so as not to neutralize their effect, but, on the contrary, to get a stronger therapeutic effect.

At first, reading literature in order to study and memorize the properties of aromas may seem too laborious for you. But after a few days, you will notice that mixing essential oils will become more and more interesting to you.

To mix several types of oils, you will need special utensils, a toothpick, or anything else suitable for stirring. To avoid contaminating the resulting mixture, make sure that your tools are kept clean. Remember the basic rule: first you need to fill in the base oil, and only then - the essential oils. The most ideal proportion: for 100 grams of regular oil, about 15-20 drops of essential oil. Before mixing, wash your hands and check the room for foreign odors.

First, learn how to prepare the mixes according to a strict recipe. Making a new mixture is a very creative endeavor. You need to have enough practical experience to subtly feel the aromas, to be able to predict their behavior over time. Changing the ratio of essential oils in a mixture incorrectly can spoil the aroma.
Step 5
To preserve the aroma of the resulting mixture, use the following rule, which is widely used in perfumery. This is the division of all fragrances into tones: low, medium and high. The low ones are the most persistent aromas, the middle ones are the link between the upper and lower ones, and the high ones are the aromas that we feel first.
