Not a single fan of underwater fishing can do without special gear for fishing underwater, which, as a rule, are underwater crossbows (special spear guns). It is they who serve as devices for fishing at fairly great depths. In such devices, unlike conventional rifles, bullets are not used, but they shoot with special spears.
It is necessary
a wire with a diameter of 2 mm, a stainless steel rod with a diameter of 6 to 8 mm (to be used for the harpoon), a duralumin tube with a diameter of 13 mm (to be used for the barrel), two wooden plates for the handle (oak, beech, etc.) and a heat-treated, special spring with an anti-corrosion coating
Instructions
Step 1
Take the duralumin tube. Cut a thread from both ends of the tube. This can be done using special equipment or manually, there is no difference.
Step 2
Cut a special groove for the plug. The length of such a groove should be approximately 160 mm. Carve out the cap and muzzle. Drill a hole for the harpoon with a drill in the plug.
Step 3
Take the prepared wooden handle plates and clamp them with a vise. Plates can be cut to size from oak, ash, beech and other hardwoods. Drill a hole in the clamped plates for the crossbow barrel.
Step 4
Cut out the desired contours of your grip. Make a sample for the trigger. The depth of such a sample should be approximately 3.5 mm. Connect the two halves of the handle on the barrel and screw together.
Step 5
Craft a crossbow trigger using simple locksmithing.
Make a harpoon. It should be made of stainless steel.
Step 6
Attach a line to the harpoon, which must slide along it. The line should rest against the tail, and be driven and cushioned by a special fluoroplastic ring.
Take a strip of steel and cut a spreader out of it.
Step 7
Attach the line spreader with two screws to the crossbow barrel plug.
The gun is ready, it remains only to insert a spear or dart and you can safely go on a spearfishing and wait for a good catch.
Step 8
Note that a good crossbow should have a handy reel holder. It is desirable that it can be easily removed, and also serve as an additional guide for the harpoon, which increases the accuracy of the shot.
Step 9
Take care of the harpoons too. Craftsmen make them on their own, but such products are sinful of aerodynamic deviations, so few people manage to make an accurate shot with a homemade harpoon. It makes sense to buy arrowheads for your homemade crossbow.
