Many artists have drawn illustrations for the fable "The Crow and the Fox". In some pictures, the fox is dressed in a folk costume, in other pictures both the raven and the fox are ordinary forest dwellers. There are also stylized drawings. If you wish, you can come up with your own illustration and draw the heroes of a popular fable as you imagine them.
Start with furnishings
The crow, when talking to the fox, sits on a branch. Therefore, it is better to start drawing with an image of a tree. Lay the sheet vertically, draw several arbitrary curved lines. For example, several may come out of one point at the bottom of the sheet. You can also draw a straight vertical line from which branches extend. At the first stage, it is enough to convey the general direction. The thickness can not yet be transferred and the leaves can not be drawn.
Shape outlines
Mark the position of the characters. The crow, of course, sits slightly taller than the fox. You can place it on the highest branch. Draw an irregularly shaped spot that resembles the outline of a campfire. The tail of the bird will be where the tongues of this fire are directed, and the head should be slightly tilted towards the fox. Mark the head with a steep arc. As for the fox, sketch out the position of its sharp ears - in the sketch, these will be just the corners, located approximately at the level of the crow's head. Draw the outlines of the neck and torso. The head, neck and back are drawn in a single line. Starting from the ear, the outline of the head and neck is almost vertical. The back line is at an angle of approximately 135 ° to the neck line. Draw a mustache - triangles on either side of the head.
Clearer contours
Circle the crow. Draw the upper parts of the wings. Where the head ends, make a slight extension. Draw paws grabbing a branch. Draw the tail feathers - these are just short, straight strokes made with pressure. The freer you move, the more natural the bird will appear. She should look a little tousled. Just circle the contours of the fox with pressure.
Eyes, noses, mustaches
The eye of the raven is a rather large and wide oval, almost the size of the head. Inside the oval is a small, round pupil. The fox also has oval eyes, but the ovals are rather narrow. At the same time, the eye that is from the side of the crow and further from the viewer will seem somewhat smaller than the other. It seems almost round. In this case, it is important not so much to observe the proportions as to convey the character of the characters. The fox is cunning, she has her own goal, and she achieves it. The crow is confused, she lost what she had. A crow can be depicted with an open beak. The fox smiles maliciously, her mouth is an irregular arc. Draw the mustache - short, straight lines. The illustration is ready, it remains only to complement the environment - for example, to draw the leaves.
A Few Tips
You can draw illustrations, of course, in the most ordinary album. But special watercolor paper is very good for pencil drawing too. She has a texture, and the drawings look more expressive. As for pencils, it is better to buy several pencils at once, of different hardness.
