Origami is an ancient Japanese art (although it originated in China) of folding various figures out of paper. They are simple and complex, voluminous and flat, small and gigantic. Let's take a look at origami basics using a fly figure as an example.
It is necessary
sheet of paper and scissors
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare a sheet of landscape page paper. From it we need to get a square - the basic shape from which almost all the figures are composed. To do this, bend the corner of the sheet, aligning its width with the length, iron the fold line and cut off the excess part with scissors. As shown in the picture - fold the resulting square diagonally and iron the fold line with your fingernail
Step 2
Next, outline the middle of the resulting triangle, fold it in half, and unfold it back. Then, to this middle, lower the corners of the triangle down and iron the fold lines. When you do your body bend, it is called a valley fold. Then turn the workpiece around you so that the top of the triangle is at the top
Step 3
Now take the bent corners and fold them down again, but already in half. This is a blank for your fly's wings. Iron the fold lines. It is the strong ironing that allows you to make better figures
Step 4
There are two free triangles at the top. First, fold down the first corner, slightly covering the fly's wings. Iron the fold lines as well
Step 5
Now fold the second corner down the same way. Notice that the fold line is just above and parallel to the fold line of the first corner. The second corner does not completely overlap the first. Don't forget to iron
Step 6
The fly is almost ready. Now you need to bend back the left and right sides, form, so to speak, a trapezoid. When you fold away from yourself (inward), it is called a mountain fold. Iron the fold lines well. You can use scissors or a ruler for this operation
Step 7
The fly is almost ready. Now you need to bend back the left and right sides, form, so to speak, a trapezoid. When you fold away from you (inward), it is called a mountain fold. Iron the fold lines well. You can use scissors or a ruler for this operation.
