Instructions
Step 1
To make such a panel, you will need strong plywood about 1 cm thick, shells broken off in the form of narrow long petals, as well as dried flowers, dried leaves, flowers, stems and much more that can decorate your still life.
Step 2
In order for the shells to firmly adhere to the base, glue them with hot glue from a glue gun. Prepare the surface for gluing the composition - sand the plywood sheet with fine sandpaper on the front side and at the ends, and then figure out how exactly the flowers from the shells will be located on the board.
Step 3
Choose a background material that will successfully complement the composition - it can be a dense fabric of any natural shade, which should also match the color of the frame you choose, in which the picture will be framed. You can paint the frame yourself, or choose a ready-made one.
Step 4
Lay out the parts of the future composition on a plywood and fabric base. Spread the shell petals around the flower centers, lay out the leaves and stems, determine where the decorative elements will be located - leaves, dried flowers, and so on. Determine the location of the major and minor figures in the composition.
Step 5
Remove unnecessary items - do not overload the panel with an excessive number of elements. When you achieve the most harmonious look of your panel, begin to consistently glue its elements to the base.
Step 6
Heat the glue gun and glue the middle of the flower - you will start from it, building the big picture. For each individual petal from the shell, drip one or two drops of hot glue and glue the shell to the base near the middle.
Step 7
Then, trying not to move the previous petal, glue the next one - and so on until the shell petals form a full circle around the middle. Then glue the stem and leaves of the flower and finally the secondary decorative elements of the picture.
Step 8
When the glue is dry, take a critical look at the panel and think about whether something should be added or changed. Cut off the elements that go beyond the picture and frame it. Varnish seashells and dried flowers for durability.
