Volumetric snowflakes can be made from paper of any color and texture. Traditionally, of course, white paper is used. Making such snowflakes with your own hands will give the feeling of a holiday and become an exciting New Year's Eve entertainment not only for children, but also for adults.
It is necessary
Paper, pencil, ruler, scissors, glue, tape, stapler
Instructions
Step 1
Take a piece of paper and cut into six identical squares. Depending on the desired size of the future snowflake, the length of the side of the square may vary. For a start, it is more convenient to work with squares with a side of 10 cm.
Step 2
Fold the resulting squares in half to form triangles. Take a pencil and a ruler and draw lines, they should run parallel to the short edges of the triangle at the same distance from each other. Make cuts along these lines, while a few millimeters should remain up to the middle of the triangle.
Step 3
Now unfold the notched triangles and fold the part in the middle so that you get a tube. Secure the corners with glue or tape. Turn the square over so that the resulting tube looks down, and wrap the center strips again, do not forget to fasten the corners. Turn the workpiece over again and secure the next strips in the same way. As a result, you will get one of the rays of the future volumetric snowflake. Do the same with the other five squares.
Step 4
Now, using a stapler, you need to connect the resulting rays in three pieces. You will have two blanks, which will then turn into the upper and lower parts of the volumetric snowflake. Inspect the workpieces, if nothing is torn or peeled off, then you can fasten them together with a stapler, evenly straightening the beams. The volumetric snowflake is almost ready.
Step 5
In order for the rays of your snowflake to stick together, do not forget to staple them with a stapler in the place where the adjacent edges touch. If you have a large snowflake, then for reliability, the rays can be fixed in two places, however, if the snowflake is miniature, then the stapler should not be used at all, in this case double-sided tape or glue will help you.
Step 6
Try to get creative, for example, decorate the resulting snowflakes with sparkles or let your little ones color them themselves, this can turn into a wonderful creative game.
