Winter is already knocking on the windows. The first snow has already fallen somewhere. And soon the New Year holidays. It's time to think about home decoration and gifts. And you can't do without snowflakes. Snowflakes can be made using origami technique. They will decorate a Christmas tree, window, furniture and can even serve as a greeting card if they are made of thick paper.

Instructions

Step 1

There are many different origami patterns for snowflakes. They are of different difficulty levels. If you are new to this technique, then use the diagram below. It will fold a snowflake in 15 minutes. Take a sheet of A4 paper. Fold it into an equilateral hexagon. To get started, sketch out the center in the resulting hexagon. To do this, bend the figure in half 2 times, connecting 2 different sides opposite each other. Repeat the same operation with the remaining sides of the shape. As a result, you will get a hexagon made of triangles.

Step 2

Bend the bottom two sides of the hexagon so that you get a "nose", connect it flat and lay to the left. Then fold the next side in the same way. You will get a "nose" again, do the above operation with it again. After laying all the corners, you should get a kind of turntable.

Step 3

Free one corner, open it and make two folds, thanks to which you can lay it flat. Then bend the right corner of the resulting rhombus, align with the center. Fold the left corner in the same way. Expand the diamond. Then bend all the folds done in opposite directions.

Step 4

Bend the corners inside the rhombus, and then open the resulting "beak" by pulling the upper corner. You should end up with a flat piece. Repeat all the operations just done with the remaining corners. As a result, you should get such a snowflake.

Step 5

Alternatively, prepare 12 squares of blue or white 5x5 cm (7, 5 x 7, 5 cm) and circles 2 and 3 cm in diameter. From each square, fold the base shape ("kite"). To get 6 rays of a snowflake: Connect in pairs all the parts, tucking the corner of one part inside the other. Glue the details.

Step 6

Glue 2 rays above and below the white circle; then alternately placing them at the same distance, glue 2 beams on the right and left again.

Step 7

Glue a blue circle in the center of the snowflake to create a handmade snowflake. You can hang it on a Christmas tree or on a window, decorate gifts and interior. But be patient and have free time, because you will spend at least an hour on your first snowflake. And the next ones will be done, of course, faster.
