Step 1
To make a paper tank, prepare several cardboard tubes from toilet paper rolls, white writing paper, PVA glue, acrylic paints and a cocktail straw.
Step 2
Take three cardboard tubes and glue them together using a glue gun or any other glue. Then take two more tubes, shorten them and glue them across the first three tubes, creating a pyramid-like structure.
Step 3
Take the last cardboard tube, cut a piece from it and glue it to the top of the "pyramid" to get the tower of the future tank. Wait for the glue to dry and then cut the white paper into strips.
Step 4
Moisten the paper with a brush with diluted PVA glue, and then cover the structure of cardboard tubes with paper, leaving no empty spaces. If necessary, coat some places with PVA glue additionally. Dry the figurine, then take a cocktail straw and cut a small piece from it.
Step 5
Wrap the resulting segment with a strip of paper dipped in PVA, and at the end of the segment, make a thickening, wrapping it with additional layers of paper. Take a pair of scissors or a utility knife and punch a hole in the front of the tank turret. Glue the barrel formed from a straw into it, and then dry the glue and paint the tank with gouache or acrylic.
Step 6
If you paint a tank with gouache, do not forget to varnish it, as, unlike acrylic, gouache leaves traces after drying.
Step 7
You can also additionally decorate the tank using colored paper. Cut out a small circle and glue it on top to resemble a trapdoor. You can also give your tank a name and cut letters out of different colored paper. Glue the letters carefully around the perimeter of the tank. Do not forget to also decorate the tank with stars, add gray paper tracks, decorate it with a flag or any other insignia. Your paper tank is ready.
