A cardboard tank is a craft that can be made with children on the eve of Victory Day, while talking with them about their grandfathers and great-grandfathers who participated in the Great Patriotic War.

It is necessary

  • - corrugated cardboard (green and blue);
  • - scissors;
  • - pencil;
  • - ruler;
  • - PVA glue.

Instructions

Step 1

First, cut the cardboard into strips one centimeter wide and the full length of a standard sheet. In total, you need to cut at this stage 12 strips of blue cardboard and two green ones.

Step 2

Next, take one strip of blue color, on one side (wrong side) coat it with PVA glue and carefully wrap it in a tight circle. In this way, make eight cardboard wheels.

Next, put the four wheels aside, and on the remaining ones, glue another strip of corrugated cardboard according to exactly the same principle as described above. As a result, you should have eight wheels of two different diameters.

Step 3

Glue the resulting wheel blanks together into two arched parts, while each part should consist of two small wheels on the sides and two large ones in the middle.

Cover the strips of green corrugated paper with glue and glue them over the wheels as shown in the picture. As a result, you should have caterpillars.

Step 4

Cut a rectangle out of green cardboard that is equal to the length of the tracks and about 10 centimeters wide. Step back two centimeters from the edges of the length and make folds.

Step 5

Cover the upper edge of the previously made tracks with glue and glue them from the sides of the platform, stepping back from the edge by a few millimeters.

Step 6

Turn the workpiece over with its tracks down and place it in front of you. Cut out two rectangles out of blue cardboard with a length equal to two platform lengths and a width of one and a half to two centimeters. Bend them in half and glue them onto the tank hull from above, placing them on the sides (above the tracks).

Step 7

The final and most interesting stage is making and gluing the tower and the cannon. For the tower, take two strips of cardboard and glue them in a spiral, for the cannon - a rectangle with sides of three and 10 cm and roll it into a tube.

Glue these parts to the body of the tank as shown in the picture. If you wish, you can add additional details to the craft in the form of tanks, placing them at the back of the product, or cardboard machines.
