Instructions

Step 1

First, you need to cut a blank from a pine board. Take a jigsaw and use it to cut a 6x17 cm rectangle.

Next, you should remove all irregularities and roughness on a rectangular wooden plank. Sand it with sandpaper.

Step back about 1 centimeter from the edge of the front side of the workpiece and make a mark in this place with a pen. At the same level with the first mark, it is necessary to make a markup, and so that the distance between the steps is equal to 1.5 centimeters. Thus, there should be 9 points. This procedure should be repeated on the opposite side of the wooden plank.

Take a drill with a drill diameter of 0.5 centimeters and drill holes for it according to the markings you just made. After the holes are ready, sand the surface again with sandpaper.

Choose the strongest from the harvested tree branches. Then use your pruning shears to cut them into pieces that are approximately 18 centimeters long. The ends of the branches that will be inserted into the holes of the plank must be sharpened with a pruner to 0.5 centimeters, that is, just the size of the drilled holes. After this procedure, smear the pointed end of the branch, then insert into the workpiece. Do this with all the branches.

After the twigs are inserted into all the holes, you need to paint our craft with brown acrylic paint.

The twigs need to be decorated with watermelon seeds. Just glue them on with glue. They will play the role of leaves. If you do not have watermelon seeds, then you can replace them with any other suitable material, for example, coffee beans.
