An original and elegant napkin holder will be a great addition to your festive table.
It is necessary
- - newspapers;
- - satin ribbon;
- - acrylic paints;
- - brushes;
- - wire;
- - bead;
- - scissors
- - PVA glue;
Instructions
Step 1
Cut newspaper sheets into strips 10-15 cm wide. Roll these strips, starting from the corner, into tubes, fixing the free corner with glue.
Step 2
For the bottom part, make stiffer tubes (from a whole newspaper sheet). The number of tubes depends on the size of the napkin holder. In this case, you need: 2 pieces of rigid tubes and about 5 pieces of ordinary ones.
Step 3
Make the bottom of the napkin holder: cut 4 tubes 15 cm long. Glue them together with PVA glue and leave to dry completely. Wrap the entire part with wire to better glue the tubes.
Step 4
When the glue is dry, remove the wire and make the side pieces. Cut 14cm tubules for the main pieces that form the corner.
Step 5
Glue them on top of each other, 2 tubes each, secured with wire and glue them on both sides to the bottom part. First on one side, and when it dries up, do the same on the other side. Please note that these parts are glued on each side in the opposite direction.
Step 6
Divide the bottom part into 4 segments, receiving 3 marks - the attachment points for the remaining side tubes. Also mark the marks on one of the main side pieces.
Step 7
Cut the required size of 3 tubes for each side, taking into account that all the tubes should be parallel to each other, which means they will be of different sizes. First glue all the details on one side, then on the other and let dry completely.
Step 8
Decorate the napkin holder: paint with silver acrylic paint. Prepare a satin ribbon and make a bow on one side of the stand, and sew a bead in the middle of it. Fix the bow in the upper corner of the napkin holder with a glue gun (PVA glue), and wrap the free end of the tape around the main part of the side part and fix it with glue on the bottom side of the bottom.
