It's so easy to make yourself an interesting pencil holder from scrap materials, thanks to which all your writing accessories will always be at hand in one place! Even a child can make such a homemade product, delighting both himself and his parents.
It is necessary
- - old magazines;
- - bamboo skewer;
- - scissors, PVA glue, spray paint;
- - 2 pieces of cardboard 10x10 centimeters each.
Instructions
Step 1
So, the size of the stand depends entirely on the original size of the magazine pages taken to create the tubes. The author took magazine sheets measuring 20x26, 5 centimeters as a basis. If you have approximately the same sheets, then cut one such sheet in half lengthwise for further work with it. Then twist the tube, placing a skewer on the corner of the cut sheet, as indicated in the photo. Begin to fold it, reaching the opposite corner of the sheet. Secure the tip of the sheet with glue, remove the skewer. Such tubes will require about 60-70 pieces.
Step 2
Paste two cardboard squares with a journal sheet on one side. To make the corners look neater when gluing, cut the corners on a square from the magazine. Glue four magazine tubes on one square - place them in the corners, everything is clearly visible in the photo.
Step 3
Glue a second cardboard square on top of the resulting structure.
Step 4
Start folding our tubes that we made earlier around the perimeter of the square base. Fix and cover them with the following tubes. This is how you need to lay them out along the perimeter in tiers, beveling a little to the side. And to lengthen the tube, just insert another tube into it, fixing it with glue.
Step 5
Fold the straws to the desired height. Fix the outermost upper tubes with PVA glue. Here is a pencil and pen holder almost ready!
Step 6
Wait for the glue to dry completely. It won't take long. Then paint the stand with any spray paint (color of your choice). Only paint with a thin layer so that it does not flow down the tubes with ugly stains.
Once the paint is completely dry, you can put all your pens and pencils with markers in the stand, because the craft is ready!
