Children's clothing should be comfortable and beautiful, and some parents choose to knit and sew baby clothes themselves instead of buying them from the store. A children's sundress knitted with your own hands does not have to be adjusted to the size and height of the child - you can knit it, focusing on exact measurements, and also decorate with any patterns, decorative elements and openwork frills.
Instructions
Step 1
Choose a thin, soft yarn of any color, prepare the knitting needles of the desired size and start knitting a sundress from the back of the skirt. Tie a pattern in advance, on which you will determine what the knitting density will be, and how many loops will be in accordance with this density.
Step 2
In the first row, knit ten knit stitches and one purl one, then repeat this way to the end of the row. At the end of the row, knit five knit stitches and move on to the next row. From the second row to the last, knit in the same way as the first, alternating ten knit stitches and one purl stitch.
Step 3
Move the stitches while knitting to create pleats on the fabric. When you knit the fabric from the hem to the hip line, begin to gradually decrease the loops along the entire width of the product.
Step 4
First knit two stitches together in front of each convex relief, then knit two stitches together in front of each concave relief, and then make two more decreases, knitting two loops after each convex relief and after each concave relief.
Step 5
Step back from each relief during decrements one or two loops so that the knitting is neat and the relief line is not broken. Starting at the waistline, tie a 15 cm wide piece of fabric with a simple 2x2 elastic band, then tie the piece with garter stitch.
Step 6
When the front and back of the sundress are ready, take a crochet and thread of the same color, and crochet the neckline of the sundress, making chains of several air loops to get an openwork hem. You can also tie the hem of a sundress with an openwork hem.
Step 7
In order for the sundress to have wing-sleeves, separate new loops on the armholes and tie the wings with garter stitch.
