A pouch is a bag for carrying tobacco, makhorka. It can be used as a wallet as well as a mobile phone case. Some handbags are shaped like pouches. Sewing such a pouch-pouch is not difficult, but you need to have some skill in working with leather or suede if you decide to use these particular materials.

It is necessary

  • - pieces of leather and suede;
  • - leather lace;
  • - awl;
  • - shoe punch;
  • - thick silk or linen thread.

Instructions

Step 1

Take an arbitrary size of the pouch - it may depend on the pieces of leather or suede that you have found, or on your tastes and preferences, but approximately you need a 17x20 cm rectangle. Cut out two such rectangles and round the bottom corners of the pouch details. For the convenience of making holes in the workpieces so that they can be seen, if you are using dark leather, cut out the same part from paper as from the base material. So that all these parts do not move relative to each other, grab them along the edge with contact glue. On a paper pattern, mark the places for making holes for thread and lace.

Step 2

Make holes for the threads with an awl, and punch holes under the lace at the top of the product with a shoe punch. If you peel off the paper at this stage of work, then you will not see the holes from the awl, so it is better to remove the paper after you sew the product. Sew the parts of the pouch with strong silk threads. To make the paper pattern come off easily and not damage the threads, wet the paper with a brush where the seam goes.

Step 3

Pouches can be sewn from small pieces of leather and suede, combining them - you get a stylish original product. Choose a thinner material for this pouch, since there are much more seams here than in the first version. Take this pattern or come up with it yourself. In this case, you first need to sew the strips so that they are whole, and then connect them to each other.

Step 4

Turn the product inside out and insert the lace that will tighten the edges of the pouch. Embroider the bag with beads and bugles - in this form it is quite suitable as a gift for a tobacco lover.

Step 5

Decorate the fabric pouches with stylish embroidery, ready-made or handmade.

Step 6

The bag can be sewn and voluminous, for this you need to cut a round or oval bottom out of leather. Sew the rectangular part of the pouch so that you get a pipe, and sew the bottom to it.

Step 7

Decorate the leather laces with long original beads, not forgetting to make knots at the ends of the lace. There are a great many options for decorating pouches, give free rein to your imagination and freedom to your hands.
