The Russian melodramatic series about doctors called "General Therapy" was filmed in 2008 by directors Oleg Fesenko and Grigory Zhikharevich. Plot description

Roman Zaslavsky, a handsome man, a womanizer, a general practitioner and the best specialist in the department, loves his job and does his best so that all his patients leave the hospital healthy. Roman's personal life does not imply a long-term relationship, since a man values his personal freedom above all else and does not plan to start a family in the coming years. However, his beliefs are cracked after a new nurse, Anna Lazareva, arrives at the department.

The main roles in the series "General Therapy" were played by the courageous Andrei Chernyshov and the beautiful Anna Snatkina.

Zaslavsky is literally fascinated by the open and sympathetic Anna, who recently left her husband, taking her six-year-old son with her. The woman's ex-husband hopes to bring her back and blackmails her with a child, but Anna, who has decided to pursue a medical career, resists her husband with all her might. She has long dreamed of becoming a doctor and finding a worthy and loving father for her son, whose role is already mentally claimed by Roman Zaslavsky. However, there are still many obstacles on the way for two lonely hearts - both in personal life and at work.

Reviews about the series

The audience very favorably accepted General Therapy, in which the directors combined romantic melodrama with elements of comedy and original medical humor. In addition, fans of the series appreciated the optimal ratio of medical topics and complex terminology, which is often incomprehensible to a simple audience. In addition, General Therapy focuses not only on the work of doctors - but also on their everyday life, in which there is a place for ordinary human grief, happiness and joy.

The series "General Therapy" is an analogue of such well-known foreign TV series as "Grey's Anatomy", "Ambulance" and "Doctor House".

Women watch with enthusiasm the vicissitudes of the heroine Anna Snatkina, who immediately after coming to work got herself an enemy - the procedural nurse Oksana, who was sure that the position of the head nurse would be given to her. In "General Therapy" the life of the medical department is shown through the eyes of its employees, thanks to which the audience was able to fully experience the atmosphere prevailing on the territory of the hospital, as well as laugh at some situations and be outraged by the actions of some characters. Critics also spoke positively about the series, which became a rather successful breakthrough in Russian cinema, which had previously failed in attempts to adapt foreign series to domestic realities.
