Instructions

Step 1

Start by imitating. Sketch comics from popular publications. So you get your hand, practice and be able to notice the details. The main content of the comics is the actions of the main characters, chosen by you. The characters of the story should look clear and expressive enough so that the reader can immediately see their character and determine their attitude towards the heroes. Take paper, a simple pencil.

Step 2

Start drawing the character from his face. Draw expressive eyebrows, nose, crease between the eyebrows. Small details can be omitted, unless they tell about the character of the hero. Add guidelines for the chin and cheekbones. Draw the eyes, giving them a simple shape for now. Outline the iris of the eyes, the pupil, correctly tracing the direction of sight.

Step 3

Draw the ears with a few strokes. In size, if the character of the character does not require it, the ears are equal to about a third of the length of the head, almost like a nose. Draw the mouth of the hero. Now tweak your chin to match your character's personality and proportion.

Step 4

For a proper head fit, mark a line from nose to ear with a pencil. This is the line along which the head attaches to the neck. Draw your character's hairstyle, mark the cheekbones, forehead, do not forget about the shadows.

Step 5

Take watercolors and a wide soft (squirrel) brush. Cover your drawing with the first pale transparent coat of paint without erasing a single pencil stroke.

Step 6

With a second layer of the same paint, cover only the character's face, excluding the whites of the eyes. This will separate it from the background and use a third layer to cover the hair and light shadows. Then take the colors you want and paint over your hair and eyebrows with a thin brush. Pick a color and paint over the face, iris, lip line.

Step 7

At the final stage of creating the hero, you will need mascara. It is necessary to outline the drawing. Take a thin pen and carefully trace the contours and the most significant lines of the drawing with ink.
