Writing a story is a fundamental part of the comics making process. When writing a story, the storyteller needs to solve three main problems: what kind of world it is, what kind of characters, and what the plot will be.
When creating a story, decide where all your events will take place. When defining the world, ask yourself what time you want to show. What the inhabitants of the world do to survive, have fun, where they work, where they live, where they look for shelter. If the world is fantasy, then the entertainment will be different from the world of contemporaries. Ask yourself if humans grow food or does it magically grow on its own? How big is the inhabited universe? It might be necessary to imagine an entire galaxy. If the story is about a boy who is trying to get to school, then the distance between home and school is his world.
Also pay attention to the economy of your world. Perhaps, it does not use money, and the account goes with the help of any signs, chips. Decide exactly who will be the characters: humans, dwarves, wizards, beasts? Are there corporations, is there a government? By defining these things, you are giving the world credibility.
When creating a story, you should consider the level of technology development in the world you have invented. Do they have gunpowder or haven't they discovered it yet? Where does the energy come from: is there already electricity or is it drawn from some crystals? This is all the foundation of what characters are capable of. If you have not shown that teleportation is possible, then you cannot describe this element at the end of the story.
